Today is a Harvest celebration!
Everybody on the street is carrying sugarcane! For those of you who may not know, sugarcane is like a HUGE grass, about 6 ft. tall. The main part is long and straight and the top part is just like grass. You cut the main part and chew the inside, but you don't eat it because it is very fibrous.
In any case, there are tons of it out today. People load it up on their cycles and motorbikes and horse carts and bullock carts and tractors and anything else that has wheels. They give it to their family and friends as a celebration gift. They are thanking the sun god for the good harvest.
I wish they knew that they can worship the God who made the sun.
