When we lived in Russia, we used to make pizza from scratch- which was actually very good, but here in America, we just do the American thing and transfer from the freezer to the oven!

Later that evening, Emily, me and Emily's sister, Katie went into town! There is a new crosswalk downtown Davenport that is kinda interesting. It has moving neon lights that go up and down the crosswalk, and it leads to a place where you can look over the Mississippi river into Illinois. When we took this picture, the lights were changing from pink to purple.

The lights of the bridge on the Mississippi.

We went back to the house and were looking at movies and I nearly cried when I saw these! Hitch and Uptown Girls!... in Russian! I had not seen that in a looooonnnng time.

On Tuesday, Emily and I took a boat ride on the Mississippi. This is our wonderful little tour boat!

The mighty Mississippi.

Emily and I on our way to Illinois!

This is the old bridge.

There were some beautiful flowers growing along the side of the river. Of course, I took pictures!

We got off at the first stop and walked down to another pier and ate our lunch there. This is our boat floating away to other stops.

And, of course, more flowers.

Em and I eating lunch on the Illinois side of the river.

And watching the ducts- they were adorable!

Em and I on our way back home.

Once we got home, we were exhausted, so we slept for a little while.

And then we thought it would be fun to make cookies. We decided on Oatmeal chocolate chip.

Cookie, anyone?

I was so happy to be able to see Emily! We had such a good time and I was happy for break in my schedule to go see her!
