While Ruthie was here, we decided to go to the Art Museum in Des Moines with Angie. We had a great time... but I don't think the museum guards had such a great time with us around... we really weren't as
quiet you are supposed to be in museums.

This one is for mom! Look at your happy children who always get along!

Hop- scoch anyone?

They had some interesting architecture out there.

One half of the egg

the other half of the egg....

... and the whole egg!

Ruthie and I enjoying our strawberry shortcake ice cream!

We had Coldstone ice cream, which is really good. We needed some sweets after all the energy we expended looking at the paintings!

The next day, my friend Tim came for a visit. He stayed for a week and we had a great time.

Sunday afternoon, we went to the Johnson's house for lunch. This is Ruthie and AJ trying to decide how to take the picture...

... and the picture.

Sisters

We went down to Lake Keoma after a while and Ruthie and AJ took a stroll down by the lake.

We all went and sat on the dock for a while. This is Tim and me.

AJ and Ruthie.

My lovely sister.

This is downtown Oskaloosa and AJ, less than thrilled to have his sister so close.

But, at the end of the day, they have a great time!

This is how we normally look...

...and posing for the photo...

Beautiful,
beautiful mustang...

Tim and I went up to Des Moines one day and walked around. This is the Capital building.

Tim, who has buffalo on his farm, found a friend!

The city of Des Moines.

I talked Tim into making my favorite breakfast...

....uuummmmm.... Raspberry pancakes!

Later, we went to Pella. Pella is a very Dutch town in Iowa. It has a very oldtime downtown and it a very quaint place. This is Pella's famous Windmill... the largest one in the US today. They actually grind flour in it.

What can I say... it was a warm day!

Pella's canal- it was actually quite nice.

Later in the week, we took care of the kids I watch. This is Caden and me getting ready to go down to the creek.

Emma made sure Tim knew she needed to be carried
all the way too and from the creek.

Down at the creek Exploring!

We had a great week and a lot of fun. It was great to see my sister and to have Tim come out!
