We started out with no apples. This is Angie showing our totally empty bag.
Then we started picking apples.....
And picking apples....
Did I mention we picked a few apples?
Towards the end we saw this beautiful nest up in a tree!
I thought there was an egg inside the nest, so I climbed up to see what it was and found this!
Beautiful fall!
We ended up with 30 lbs of apples!
We went pack to Angie's apartment and lined up all our apples!
Lots and lots of apples!
We washed the apples...
...and piled them up in the sink.
... and started to peal them.
In a curly strip.
We pealed all 30 lbs of apples! Angie pealing.
After they were pealed and sliced, we boiled and mashed the apples. We didn't have a proper masher, so we had to use our hands!
Not that we minded!
We mashed all the applesauce, and poured it into jars. I tied ribbons around the jars and came out with our final product!
Tadaa! All the applesauce! Because we had so much of it, we gave them all away to our friends and family. In the end it was a great fall activity!
