Angie and I went for a "little hike" down by the river. Angie knows now that when I want to go on a "little hike" we will be gone for hours and probably ford a few rivers, climb a few rocks and so forth. This day, we went to the lake to this pretty little lagoon...
As you can see in this picture, we had to cross this bit of water to get to the rocks where I wanted to sit. We had walked nearly a mile on lakeside slate to get here and we weren't about to turn around... so the shoes came off and we waded in the water to the other side.

Angie, on the other side.
I love this spot because it looks like you are on the water, but it is really just more rocks.

Angie went exploring around the edge of the rocks.
And found these shells! I thought they were such a pretty blue.
We sat on the rocks for the afternoon reading and eating a picnic lunch.
It was a lovely day!
