This weekend, my good friend Melodee came to visit! Melodee grew up in Africa and being a smaller person, likes warm weather significantly more than cold. In fact, she has never been below O (F) weather. So, in her honor, it was the coldest it has been in Iowa for 30 years. This is what the road looked like when I went to the airport to pick her up.
She stood in front of the revolving doors and donned 2 pairs of cloves, a hat, ear warmers, a scarf so tight I think she could have suffocated and finally a hooded coat. I was able to coax her out of the airport doors and into the parking garage. At that point, she got her phone out and

I said, "Did I drop my phone?"
She said "No"
"Where did you get that phone?"
"It is mine."
"No way, I have the same phone!?!?"
Later, when we were at a cafe, hers rang and we found out that we both have the same ring tone also, how odd is that?

Sunday, we went up to Des Monies to church and then later went to the Iowa Machine Shed. I had never heard of it, but Mel talked to a lady on the plane who loves to eat there and so we decided to go.
