Puppy

As you may have read, I have a new puppy!
He is a black lab, rambunctious, and so much fun! He is about 7 months old and about 35 lbs. I am training him in Russian, so his name is Malchick- in English we call him Magic. I take him to work with me every night and my patients love him! He is trained to sit in front of them and they pet him and have a jolly old time.

Yesterday, we had a record breaking warm day for Iowa (76 degrees on November 3) and I took him to the lake. He has never been out in the water, but I coaxed my timid puppy onto the dock that I must say looked as though it would fall in any minute. As we got to the edge, I picked him up and - woosh... splash - he learned how to swim quickly! He was shocked at first, but then he learned that the ducks on the lake were chaseable and he had a ball!
