Mexico

Ruthie and I went to Cancun for a week and had a great time! This is a peer by our hotel. Ruthie on the peer
On the beach

Our first evening at the hotel.

All these lanterns were hanging at one end of the hall and we loved them!

We went on a jungle adventure and started by rappelling into a cave and landing in a 30 ft deep natural spring! Then, we went zip lining over the jungle- it was awesome! here we are in our getup with our Mexican "breaks" which is a stick that we put behind us to slow down.

We then went swimming and snorkeling in underground caves and springs with stalactites and stalagmites and crystal clear blue water- it was beautiful... but no pics!
Unlimited free drinks on the beach... talk about paradise!

On our way to catch the sailboat!

On our way to Isla Mujeres

Shopping on Isla Mujeres

Coconut milk!

On the dock

Dance party on the way home, complete with pink lemonade.

Ruthie's little Mexican friend.
At the local public beach.

Ruthie at our resort.

We took this sailboat out into the ocean, jumped ship and swam in the ocean, then heaved ourselves back into the sailboat and went back... it was wonderfull!

Drinks at the taco bar for lunch.
In Playa del Carmen doing some shopping. We walked into this shop and practiced our Spanish. We meant to say "we are sisters" but we accidentaly said "we are beautiful" the shopkeeper gave us a funny look and once we discovered our blunder, we laughed uncontrollably! . . . . then bought silver jewelry.
Buying a hat

Walk on the beach

We woke up at 5:00 am on our last morning to watch the sunrise.... beautiful
Our newfound Mexican friends at Bubba Gump Shrimp shop.

We got back to Memphis and sat on our luggage in the airport at the baggage claim for a hour watching Kentucky get beat by a point. We called it "Agony at the baggage claim"
