Day 45 - A day on the lake

One of the most beautiful things about Oregon is its lakes. So, we spent the day out on a boat skiing, tubing and enjoying the crystal clear water. Melodee tubing...

Skeeter jumped in the water and got so cold she was shivering, so Melodee and I took turns holding her.

Melodee skiing- she was great! She got up right away and skied for a long time!

We rode around this island and it was mentioned that there used to be a trail to the top- at which point, we decide to find the trail and hike it - who could resist such an adventure?

We found the trail alright, we found it to be very steep...
... but the view off the top was worth it.

I was totally fascinated by this tree- it has a bark that sheds into long strips. Parchment anyone?
