Museums

Monday, Tanya and I went on an outing with the kids. She teaches the children of a family who lives here. Clara is 6 and John is 3.

We took them to the museum! It was the museum of science and technology. . . it is 40 years old. . . and looks every day of it!

They had levers and pulleys and all sorts of mechanical workings. We saw Orville and Wilbur write in their airplane! We saw a jet and a locomotive and we learned all about chasing kids around! I'm kidding. They were really good.

There was one room that had a huge dinosaur in it. It was a 20 tf. T-Rex. It was standing and moved up and down and around and its eyes even moved and it roared! Clara wouldn't even go in the room and covered her ears so as not to hear it.

John, on the other hand, stood at the doorway and his eyes got as big as golf balls! He looked up at me, pleading to be picked up. So, I picked him up and we walked into the "scary" room. He kept wanting to go closer, his arms getting tighter around my neck all the time. We got up close to it and it roared and he screamed and buried his head in my neck and just about chocked me! I asked him if he wanted to leave and he said "No, I like the dinosaur!" So, we stood there in terror for about 10 min! aahaah, boys....
