Stars and Stripes

My dad teaches English classes here and in one of his classes, they were discussing national anthems. He had all the people in his class sing the Indian National Anthem and they did a really good job. Then, they asked him to sing his national anthem and he froze- he couldn't remember how it started! So, they said- go ask your daughter. So, last night, we were trying to sing "our" national anthem. It went something like this...

O say, Does that Star Spangled... nono
O say, can you see,
by the dawns bright ... no
by the dawns early light!
... what so proudly we hauled. no, no hailed
at the twilight's last beaming.. no gleaming.

Who brought stars and bright stripes...
no it must be stripes and bright stars
through the perilous night.

O say, does that Star Spangled banner still wave
O'r the land of the brave.. nono land of the free
and home of the brave...?

PLAY BALL!!!

Do you know they sing that before baseball games?
