Dubuque

Dubuque is an old Catholic River City. It is built on the Mississippi River and was originally settled by the French. It is well known for its many Catholic cathedrals and for it's hilly "bluffs"; many of which have houses built into the sides. It has a quaint downtown area, which is famous for its inexpensive jewelery.

We went up to Dubuque for the weekend to see Megan, the youngest daughter of the people I live with. She is a cosmotologist, so we went up to get our hair done, and spend some quality girl time together!

This is a lift- where you could climb up to the top and look out at the river.

The town is full of little shops.I found myself a real newsie!
