Fishin' in the Dark

One Spring evening, Angie's grandfather took us fishing out to the little lake on his land. We were so excited to fish and we caught a HUGE fish! Look and see! Yeah, nothing to write home about.
I caught nothing that night. Nothing, that is, except a great big June bug. The are huge flying bugs that come out in the spring and stay all summer. One was flying around Angie and she went screaming. Me, the more stable and fearless of the two stayed put and told her for heaven's sake to stop running about.
I had my fishing poll in the pond fishing like a regular pro (see the photo below) All of the sudden, this sound came buzzing around my ear. I realized it was the June bug and as any stable fearless fisherman does went screaming and running about. I started swatting the bug with my fishing poll (which had a line still in the water.) I think I just made it more mad because it was dive bombing for my eyes and I was twisting all around trying to hit it with my fishing poll- which still had a line in the water. Before I knew it, the bug got caught in my hair. This really freaked me out and I went running. With my poll. . . which had a line on it. . . which I had tied myself up in due to my swatting. . . which was still in the water. . . . The result was a psychotic mess, a very confused June bug, and a vindicated Angie.
No more stable, fearless fisherman.
