Snow...Snow...SNOW

Sunday, I sat down to watch a show on TV and it started to snow a bit. I thought that was nice and we needed a bit of snow. So, I went about my business. A few hours later, I looked out the window again and saw that it was still snowing and pretty hard, too. A few hours after that, I looked out the window and could not see much of the yard due to the snow. It was still snowing hard and showed no sign of stopping. So, just for the sake of accuracy, I got a measuring stick out and stuck it in the snow!
This is when I called my sister- a good eleven inches. When I got done talking to my sister, we had a good 13 inches. Before the night was over, we had 15 inches-and other places in Oskaloosa got 18 inches!I was thinking we may not have school today- due to the downpour of snow. As it turns out, Pella (15 minutes away) got 4-5 inches. Ottumwa (where I go to school) got 3-4 inches. Surrounding towns got between 2-6 inches. WE, on the other had, were pounded!
I walked out of my front door this morning to go to school and instead of 3 steps in front of me, I saw a gradual slope into a sea of white- So I tromped all the way through the snow- it was great! Needless to say, we had school.
