Day 11
Today, we were standing on a dirt road in Kansas in the middle of a wind farm! These turbines are HUGE and each one generates enough electricity for 3 homes. They are all turning in the wind over acres and acres and are quite mesmerizing.

We drove through Kansas and saw some more of the beautiful countryside.
There are trains all over Kansas- we always count the cars and our top number is 117.
That night, we camped in Greensburg, Kansas. Some of you may be familiar with the name. A year ago, the town was devastated by a tornado. The entire town was wiped out- as in not one building left standing. Now, they are rebuilding with a 'green' mindset. All of their homes are built in an environmentally friendly fashion so that it truly will be a Greensburg! We camped at the lake outside town that still had fallen trees and debris. While we were setting up camp in the late afternoon, we met a cyclist named Harry. He is from Austria and is cycling across the United States because he has never seen it and wants to know more about the US.
So, we invited him to eat with us and he was so gracious as to build us a fire.
We had baked macaroni and cheese, and were able to share both our meal and our faith. He commented that he was impressed by how we treat each other. He said we help each other out, we get along and we are prepared for whatever comes our way. (What a compliment!!!) We started talking about religion and we told him that we have a personal relationship with Christ and that is what makes us different. We shared the gospel with him and I believe he is on the road to Christ, but not quite ready. Some plant, some water, some reap the harvest, but the Lord causes growth. What a blessing to be able to water a seed! Please pray for Harry as he continues across the US. Pray for safety, divine appointments and that he will truly understand his need for Christ.
