Day 8

Today we found the swift Current River. We sat next to it and did our devotions. It was beautiful, clear water. We had a good time and so did Skeeter playing in the water.

Missouri Countryside.

We spent the afternoon at the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

This is the home where she wrote all her stories. We were thinking about them traveling from Wisconsin down to Missouri in covered wagons, hauling everything they owned, sleeping on the ground and bathing whenever they could find a creek. We decided we don't have it too bad at all.

We spent the night in the Ozark Mountains- this is cooking supper on our stove. Tonight, we had beef nachos- it was quite good.
